Math students at Open Middle got a chance to blend their geometry studies with animation in a “2D to 3D” project. Students began by finding the surface area and volume of their 2D and 3D shape. They then brought their 2D shapes under the camera to document the transformation into a 3D shape. A few students had time to create their own original scores! Watch the video below to see these geometry inspired animations.
